Very very tiny planes, trains and automobiles
This is my post for this weeks The Gallery theme 'planes, trains, and automobiles'. This photo is of an wonderful place where we had a fantastic family day out – Bekonscot Model Village & Railway in Buckinghamshire. Here we found the tiniest railway where the trains stopped at the stations, boats that sailed round the harbour, and it's very on teeny tiny airfield. It has it all so just seemed perfect for the theme. I could barley drag Squiggle away from the station, I think she could have stood and watch the trains all day!! It's a lovely day out, and a good one to take Grandparents along to. There are lots of lovely details to look at with little jokes thrown in to keep easily amused adults like me happy!

I have heard about this place but never been to it. I think my kids are a bit old for now too....or are you ever really too old for a miniature village

Or too big?! ;) There were older children there enjoying it, plus it has a play park! I guess not going to have the same appeal as a them park for them though x
DeleteHow sweet.

DeleteOooh, we live close to here as well. My kids love it!
ReplyDeleteLucky you living close by! Not too far from us but a bit of a drive x
DeleteWe took The Boy to see Babbacombe Model Village on holiday in June and he loved it. They always seem to managed such little visual treats don't they?
ReplyDeleteYep, I loved them when I was younger too but hadn't been to one in years. I alwyas thought they should have turned the Dome into a giant miniature village version of London... how cool would that have been?!
DeleteI have similar pictures from Legoland - didn't think about using those! Lovely pic x
ReplyDeleteOoo desperate to go to Legoland, soon hopefully!
DeleteWow - thats really lovely. I'd love to wander around there!
ReplyDeleteSO nice to know that nothing changes at Bekonscot! My 49 year old husband remembers going there as a little boy. My children all loved it too!
ReplyDeleteAh that is so lovely!! x
DeleteI absolutely love miniature villages! I think it's because I'm quite nosey and like looking in people's houses, lol. That looks fabulous!!
