Slipping Standards

So here is my entry for this weeks 'The Gallery' (please don't judge me!)

Ever since reading Tara Cain's theme for this week, extreme close up, I've been looking at the detail in the every day things I normally gloss over. It's amazing how much you don't notice as you go about life.

And, from all that, I chose to photograph this. Well it made me laugh, and those are the best kind of photos!

Colourful talk

The theme for this weeks gallery over on the Sticky Fingers blog is colour. When I got home from work last night I found this little chap sitting up on the kitchen stool.

It reminded me of a conversation we'd had at the weekend. As I was strapping Squiggle in the car seat I asked her what her favourite colour was. She said yellow. I agreed that yellow was beautiful, just like the sun. She replied:

"But because it's the colour of giraffes!!"

She is giraffe mad our girl!

In two lights

I love this photo because I always see it in two different lights. 

Firstly it reminds me of beautiful crisp winters days, with the light making dramatic patterns and having the park all to ourselves. 

Secondly because of what was really going on... I was trying to capture this moment as I was in hysterics laughing at Squiggle. She was standing at the fence practicing her posing and pouting. I have no idea why (this is not something I do) but it was very entertaining!

The Gallery – Friends

I took this photo on my hen do. Only my friends could make a trip on the duck tours the most hilarious outing ever... or maybe it was all that booze we had just drunk... Now I'm just waiting on some of them to hurry up and have babies so we can swap hen dos for play dates!

My entry for Sticky Fingers 'The Gallery' this week

This is my favourite spot, it's no secret to the world but it feels like it is while you're there. Port Ballintoy Harbour in North Antrim, Northern Ireland. The quality of the photo's not great as I took it on a disposable camera (imagine!) but the landscape is still beautiful.

Embarrassing outfits

So here is my entry for this weeks gallery theme – Embarrassing Outfits.
I don't need to say too much about this one... at the time I felt it a genius way of keeping dry on a water ride... looking back at the photo evidence, pretty embarrassing!
